Starting July 1, Danish immigration authorities will implement several policy changes aimed at easing requirements for short-term workers, family reunification, and banking.

Short-term Workers: Foreign nationals under the short-term fast-track residence permit can now extend their stay and work more easily within the 90-day period without needing to provide new biometric data or identification checks. Although the maximum stay remains 90 days within a 12month period, the changes offer greater flexibility.

Family Reunification: Dependents of certain Danish nationals will be eligible for a standard dependent permit, simplifying the reunification process. Previously, they had to navigate a more complex system.

Bank Requirements: The requirement for certified companies to maintain a Danish bank account to employ foreign nationals will be removed. Additionally, employees under the fast-track scheme will not need a Danish bank account.

These changes are designed to facilitate smoother immigration processes for both workers and their families.
