Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has announced that it now requires English translations of supporting documents for visitor visa applications, including for study up to three months on a visitor visa.

INZ confirmed that from 17th June 2024, applicants must provide certified English translations of any documents in a foreign language.

In a statement, INZ said, “Previously, applications including documents provided in a foreign language and with no translations could take longer to process. Ensuring that documents for your visitor visa application are provided in English helps us process it more efficiently.”

It was previously a requirement for any medical or police certificates in a foreign language to be provided in English for visitor visa applications, but now all documents need translation.
